- Cotted Fleeces
- COTTED FLEECESA cotted fleece is one in which the fibres close to the body are matted or tangled. This condition may be caused by ill health of the sheep, such as a fever, or the absence of the proper amounts of yolk or grease in the wool. These fleeces are often produced by very old sheep with low vitality.
